If it quacks like a duck

This post has nothing to do with the Milford school district; so why am I posting it?

We have recently faced severe – and very scary – health problems with our daughter.  For months, we had no idea what was going on.  In fact, for years before that, strange symptoms were discounted as “normal” or “overexaggerated.”  Yet it turned out she is suffering from heavy metal toxicity, specifically from lead.  It had gotten to the point where she could not function normally and she was getting worse, quickly.

So, back to the question: why am I posting this?  Because during this journey, we learned about a number of other children – and adults – struggling with similar issues.  Some had found answers; most have not.  Because people tend not to talk about this kind of thing, I wanted to start the conversation.

If you, your child, your friend, anyone you know, has been suffering with unexplained symptoms, please do not give up searching for answers!  Because we did not give up, and we looked for “alternative” options & answers, our daughter will overcome her health problems, with most of them leaving little to no scar on her life.  She’ll graduate, go to college, have a career and whatever else she wants – something we questioned just a few months ago.
