Extracurricular Update Sept 18, 2014

Jr. High Student Council: 8th grade elected officers for 2014/15 helped plan a “Back to School Bowling Bash” open to all 7th and 8th grade Milford students. The event was hosted at Eastgate Lanes and had approx. 100 staff and students attend. The next event will be the Halloween Dance coming up in late October. 

Choir: On Sept. 8th, the first annual Milford Jr. High and High School Choir Ice Cream Social was held. This year’s MHS a cappella choir, Notable has been chosen, and will be heard at many events this year at school and in the community.

One World Many Cultures: Jamie Kuhn is working with building principals and HS language student captains to implement our 2nd year of the “One World Many Cultures” group.

Marching Band: Band Director Brian Brown was extremely proud to announce several members of the High School Marching Band have been selected to participate in the following ensembles:

  • OMEA All State Orchestra: Steven Hart
  • OMEA All State Band: Sarah Wingo
  • Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra: Claire Carthheuser and Bille Richardson
  • CCM Prep Brass Choir: Sarah Causby, Billie Richardson
  • Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble: Kelsey Brown, Megan Jofriet, Natalie Brady, Mac Ottlinger, Amelia Pittman, and Billie Richardson
