Athletic Update Oct. 16, 2014

Girls Golf: What a historic year for the MHS Girls Golf team! Coming off their third consecutive ECC Championship the girls advanced to the District Championship as a team for the first time in school history. Individually, Megan Creager is the first girl’s golfer in school history to qualify for the State Championship this weekend. Congratulations!

Boys Golf: The Boys Golf Team also captured a 2014 ECC Championship led by sophomore Nathan Arnold. For the second consecutive season, Arnold qualified for the District Championships.

Girls Tennis: Congratulations to freshman Amanda Reinhart who advanced to the District Girls Tennis Tournament. Reinhart played first singles this year and qualified for Districts following a top four finish at Sectionals.

Water Polo: The Milford High School Girl’s Water Polo Team begins their quest for a State Championship this weekend at Mason HS. First match is Friday at 5:15 pm. The Boy’s Water Polo Team starts state tournament play on Friday, Oct 24th at Thomas Worthington.

Boys Soccer: After a Monday evening win over Northwest, the 15th seeded Eagles Soccer Team advanced to the second round of the Sectional Tournament and will travel to No. 3 Lakota West tonight. Kickoff is 7 pm.

Girls Soccer: The Girls Soccer Team will play its first tournament game this Saturday night, at home, vs. Lebanon. Kickoff is at 7 pm.

The Girls Volleyball team won their second tournament match with a victory over Talawanda 3-1. Their next opponent is #1 seeded Mt. Notre Dame, at Ursuline Academy, 2 pm, Saturday.
