District, Library to swap land

A few months ago, the Board of Education tasked the Business Advisory Council (BAC) with evaluating the relative value of trading a portion of the land in the Mulberry Elementary area owned by the school district for the land on which the current Milford Branch of the Clermont Public Library sits (on Rt. 131). At the May 21 meeting, Chris Hamm, Chair of the BAC, presented the BAC’s recommendation. Continue reading

Five-year forecast looking solid for Milford Schools

As the district’s 2014-15 fiscal year heads to a close, our budget is looking very solid. We are projecting a 3% savings vs. budget, as well as a $25 million balance in the General Fund. Last year, we invested $5 million cash, which did so well, we have added an addition $5 million to that investment fund. Continue reading

Career readiness program expanded to help students prepare for future

Ms. Liz Emmons is the counselor at Milford Schools who works specifically with career education. This year, she has worked to develop our first round of college & career readiness curriculum, which starts in Grade 6 and moves students through a program all the way through high school. Athletic Update May 21, 2015

Softball: Milford’s victory over Turpin on April 27 was Christy Gregory’s 200th as the Eagles head coach. After wrapping up their 2nd straight ECC title, the Eagles won their sectional final with a 3-1 victory over Harrison. Milford faces top-seeded Lebanon High School in the District Championship game on Friday at Lakota East. First pitch at approximately 5:45 pm. Continue reading
