Perfect audit, increased credit rating, millions saved for taxpayers

This past week was a great one for the Milford Treasurer’s Office, as they experienced what Treasurer Debbie Caudle calls “The Treasurer’s Trifecta.”

Homestead Exemption provides tax relief to seniors

At last week’s meeting, the school board approved a resolution encouraging the legislature to enhance the Homestead Exemption, which was rolled back in 2013.

Ohio charter school funding questions continue

Last year, the state began to evaluate charter schools by a variety of factors. One is proper documentation for “enrolled students,” which had led to significant funding questions among many of the online charter schools.

“13 Reasons Why” is difficult on many levels

I recently watched “13 Reasons Why” so I had better perspective when reading the myriad of articles about this controversial show. I found it to be an extremely difficult and concerning program, one that I as a parent would not have let my teen watch without my husband and myself present to discuss the issues and her thoughts immediately afterward.

Business Advisory Council seeking members

The Business Advisory Council explores questions related to the business operations of the school district.
