Five-Year Forecast indicates Milford is in sound financial shape
Board approves new brandmark
Here are the highlights from the 10/18/18 school board meeting:
- We held our first board meeting in the new administrative offices, 1099 SR 131. Board meetings will be held here from now on. Each month, student artwork from different schools will be featured; it will then be displayed throughout the board office that next month.
- Great Oaks is running a renewal levy on the Nov. 6 ballot. This will be a continuing levy and will NOT add to your tax bill. Please consider supporting this levy; Great Oaks provides many wonderful options for our students, both those heading to college and those going into the work world after high school. They have programs at their four facilities (including Live Oaks here in Milford), as well as satellite programs embedded at Milford High School. These embedded programs expose students to career options such as engineering, teaching, general business, and marketing. At the Great Oaks sites, students may learn a variety of technical skills that allow them to enter the work world with the training they need to get started right away. If you have questions about the levy or Great Oaks services, please contact me at andrea@andreabrady.net.
- The 2019-20 school year calendar was approved.
