District considers adding All-Day Kindergarten option

A committee consisting of administrators and teachers presented a preliminary plan to the board (George Lucas, Gary Knepp, Rob Hewlett and myself – Dave Yockey was out of town this month) to add an Add-Day Kindergarten (ADK) option. The plan proposed adding one ADK class to each building, which would allow up to 25 students to stay for a full day. This would be appr. 1/3 of kindergarten students who would have the opportunity to have a full day of kindergarten programming. Continue reading

BOE approves sale of Milford Main

The Milford Board of Education approved the sale of Milford Main tonight to CMC Properties, the same company that developed the Riverwalk Flats apartments & condominiums in downtown Milford, as well as many properties in Greater Cincinnati.  Details on the sale can be found here. Continue reading

Milford Main & Seipelt Elementary up for auction

The Milford Board of Education voted at April 17’s board meeting to place Milford Main and Seipelt Elementary up for public auction, which will take place on May 19, 2014. The resolution states the two non-profit leases in Milford Main must remain in effect through June 2015; the purchaser agrees to retain the front façade of the building; and certain fixtures (Rookwood fountain & mural) will not be included in the sale. It also states that Seipelt cannot be occupied prior to January 1, 2017. Continue reading
