Extracurricular Update January 2014

Student Council is planning a school-wide scavenger hunt.  This fun event will include a variety of students and teachers.  They’re also discussing various fundraisers to benefit Children’s Hospital, one of which is a 5k run in Old Milford.

The Milford students involved in the New Voices program along with residents of the women’s shelter at the Drop Inn Center, recently presented images and writings about their shared experiences in Over-the-Rhine last Fall.  The presentation was hosted at the First Lutheran Church on Race Street.

MMT Drug-Free Coalition has added activities for Jr. High students to get involved.  Along with the high school activities, Laser Tag and Anime Club are being offered to the Jr. High students.  The Coalition hopes to offer Archery in the Spring.
